2023 GLB - is the Netstar ordering down?
We placed a deposit on the 2023 GLB250 2 weeks ago and have been unable to complete the purchase order. The dealer has been telling us for the last 2 weeks that the Netstar ordering system has been down for updates nationwide (USA) so they can’t complete our purchase order yet. The longer this goes on, it’s seeming more and more unlikely. The dealer still has our deposit.
Is Netstar really down? It seems there would be a lot more “noise” if dealers were unable to place orders.

I’m getting the same story for a new EQS order here in Scottsdale. Yesterday they said it was back up but limited and I still could not order. At least this explains why the Mercedes me app never works. MB seems to be systems challenged.
It’s unbelievable. Nobody can order a Mercedes!

I got a call from a senior guy at the dealership yesterday to apologize for this and assure me that I would still get the November window as promised. He said that the issue now is that since the outage has affected every single dealer in the United States, every time it goes up, everybody goes on at once and it crashes. I told him the fact that it is taking Stuttgart so long to get this fixed is no surprise to me, as I lived in Germany for four years and one thing I learned is that the very concept of customer service is completely alien to the German culture. He Immediately said “you hit the nail on the head! We are always amazed at the way Germany does things in their own way and at their own pace with no regard at all for the customer.”

And, Germany has some big problems right now - this energy emergency they face is some serious stuff. I think there is a lot going on behind the scenes from supply chain, to battery ingredients, to wiring harnesses that may come from Ukraine, to trade, to factory re-tooling. I’m not holding my local dealer accountable for this.

I had a GLB250 on order and wanted to make a change about a week ago but my dealer in Michigan could not access the system until last Friday because it was down. The change was entered but he also stated that he is waiting for MB to approve the change.

My dealer has told me that the system keeps going up and down. I wanted to make another change last week and my salesman had to try 4 times before he could put the change in. However now he tells me my order is locked and scheduled for 10-21-22 build so no more changes. Your dealer just needs to keep trying.
