Question Fuse wire location for illuminated star

I bought the oem illuminated star and wiring harness from the dealer for glb 250. I got everything hookup except the red wire that goes in the fuse box.
I'm not sure where it goes but the only location it might go because of the fuse included in the wiring harness kit is similar in the photo.
I tried to use that location and insert the red wire under it but it won't fit and it's too big. do you guys know exactly where the red wire goes in the fuse box?
thank you

The fuse type that my harness came with is different from that post. mine is smaller. maybe i got the wrong wiring harness. the part number is A2478206903. is that the correct wiring harness for glb?

I honestly do not know for sure. The MB parts supply site that I looked at, shows 447-820-99-00 harness.

Just curious, can you unplug the red wire from the fuse socket assembly?

Did you use 177-817-40-00 or 167-817-53-00 star?

i don’t know what you mean by unplugging the red wire from fuse socket assembly. i can’t plug it under the fuse socket assembly because it’s too big.
Anyway, i have the 177-817-4000 illuminated star. what’s the difference between the two?

MB shows both to be compatible with GLB, that is why I asked . I only saw 177-817-40-00 sold for GLB.

Looking at your picture it almost looks like the red wire has a female Slip-On terminal, and I was wondering if you can disconnect it from the fuse assembly and connect it to the fuse board underneath.

I am having the same issue. Did you remove the female connector portion? Also, where did you route the wire from the grill into the engine bay? I used the heater flap. Is there a better way?
