How come no glb35 amg in the forums ?

I went through the list of amg vehickes in the forums menu but couldn’t find one for the glb 35? I just picked up a brand new 2022 amg glb 35 and was wondering if any owners have current have any tips on maintaining the engine and all components working optimally with least amount of problems. It’s going to be a daily driver racking up about 25-30k miles a year. Here’s a few pictures

I like the contrast between black and white, with minimal chrome. Enjoy.

2021 Glb35 AMG (2013 GLK 350)
There are not many GLB35's sold eg maybe 1 GLB35 sale listing vs 20 GLB250's listings on online sale websites. Even there are not many GLB drivers here as you can see the first page topics goes to 2 months... I wasn't a member when I had the GLK... We have a picture thread as well with some GLB35's, but not updated for a while:
https://mbworld.org/forums/glb-class...re-thread.html

You are going to put lots of miles per year, so don't miss your maintenance schedules based on miles... Enjoy your new ride!

Where did you do your tinting? Did you tint the roof as well?

Change the oil often. The MB intervals are too long.

Do you only do your oil changes at Mercedes or do you trust your neighborhood shops ?

I actually do them myself. I have a C63 with the M156 engine which requires oil changes between 3-5k miles due to an issue with soft cam lobes. I started doing the oil changes on that car in 2016. Fast forward to now, I changed the oil on my GLB250 when I first got it and it was much easier than the 63.

I get the oil at Costco (Mobil-1) and order the oil filters online. It's shockingly easy. Like even if you've never changed oil on a car before you could do it. There is no dipstick so you have to check the level from the dash menu. I'd have to look at my notes from the last time, but I think it dumps 5L and I add 5L. The whole process took me about 30 minutes. I could do it in 20 minutes now.

The GLB35 should be the same process. I doubt it has a separate oil cooler like the real AMGs, but that just adds another step.

[A bit off topic, but important]

I don’t trust anyone who is not me unless I can personally vet their work.

I have done my C250 service from the beginning and always will. I get my Mobil 1 from Walmart and filters online. I highly recommend servicing your car yourself unless you just can’t. A service is quite easy. Complete B service will take longer because there are many inspections that need to be done.

Our GLB250 is done at the dealer only because it needs to be serviced in between its other duties and they have drive up express service. I have known my service writer for about 20 years, I have talked to the service manager, and they have a panorama window where I can watch the service being performed. I would trust a local MB or German car shop if I knew them well.

Do not use a quick change service. Many use bulk oil — no, no, no — you must use oil from the Mercedes approved fluids (the BeVo). The GLB must use low SPAsh oils. You may be able to get to them to use the correct oil from the bottle (they charge more), but they use the cheapest, crappiest filters they can find. I used one just to get it done, rather than wait until I had time, and had a complete lubrication failure from a collapsed filter.

Agreed. If I screw something up, I can accept that but. I have very little patience when I pay someone and they screw up it! I tried both of my local dealers with my AMG cars and they screwed stuff up every time. I could talk about that for days.

Regarding doing your own service, youtube makes this a lot easier as there are plenty of MB videos out there specific to the car/engine to show you exactly what you have to do. Easy assuming you own some basic tools.
