Ambient Lighting Activation/Retrofit
Hello,
I just purchased a 2022 GLB 250. The model I got does not come with ambient lighting. I did however notice that all of the strips that would normally light up are made of this semi opaque plastic material.
My question is, does the car come with ambient lights preinstalled but not activated or are the plastic strips dummy replacements?
I am potentially interested in retrofitting an ambient lighting package.

Mine does not have ambient package, and all plastic strips are brown not translucent.
As far I researched at least for 2021 model year, if the car came without ambient package then it is missing led strips, wires, etc.
You can try to decode your vin number to see which codes your car came with, and see if an ambient package code is on the list.
It might be code 877, however I am not positive.
