GLB 250 Towing Capacity??

I am considering a GLB 250 but am getting conflicting info on the internet about tow capacity.
Is this SUV rated for towing? Some sites say yes, some say not rated for towing.

We have a 20ft boat we would like to tow.

Thanks all!

Does it come with, or is there available, a towing package option?

GLA & GLB are not rated for towing. GLC is rated for 3500#. Don’t know why, same engine & drivetrain, same size.

We have full size pickups and don’t need it.

See the GLB handbook page 319 for tire wheel section.GLB250 tires are SL-standard load.
https://www.mbusa.com/content/dam/mb...s%20Manual.pdf

Steps for Determining Correct Load Limit The following steps have been developed as required of all manufacturers under Title 49, Code of U.S. Federal Regulations, Part 575, pursuant to the "National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966".
# (1): Locate the statement “The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs.” on your vehicle's placard.
# (2): Determine the combined weight of the driver and passengers that will be riding in your vehicle.
# (3): Subtract the combined weight of the driver and passengers from XXX kg or XXX lbs.
# (4): The resulting ̯figure equals the available amount of cargo and luggage load capacity. For example, if the "XXX" amount equals 1,400 lbs. and there will be ̯ve 150 lb passengers in your vehicle, the amount of available cargo and luggage load capacity is 650 lbs. (1,400 - 750 (5 x 150) = 650 lbs.)
# (5): Determine the combined weight of luggage and cargo being loaded on the vehicle. That weight may not safely exceed the available cargo and luggage load capacity calculated in Step 4.
# (6): If your vehicle will be towing a trailer, load from your trailer will be transferred to your vehicle. Consult this manual to determine how this reduces the available cargo and luggage load capacity of your vehicle.

% Not all vehicles are permitted to tow a trailer. Towing a trailer is only permitted if a trailer hitch is installed. Please consult an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer if you have any questions about towing a trailer with your vehicle.

Even if you have calculated the total load carefully, you should still make sure that the maximum permissible gross weight and the maximum gross axle weight rating of your vehicle are not exceeded. Details can be found on the vehicle identification plate.

That implies the GLB can be used for towing. But this is from Mercedes Benz of Warwick in Rhode Island:Oftentimes we get asked about the new Mercedes-Benz GLB towing capacity and the performance that it offers and you certainly won’t be let down if you need outstanding passing power.

With that being said, can the Mercedes-Benz GLB tow? Technically, the new Mercedes-Benz GLBtowing capacity isn’t available because it’s not rated for towing in the U.S.

The confusion continues
