Question Switching MOE tyres to non MOE tyres

Hi, Has anyone ever switched their MOE tyres to non-MOE tyres? I am considering replacing my Continental MOE tyres with non-MOE MICHELIN tyres once they wear off.
From what I heard/researched, the non-MOE tyres will provide better comfort, better grip, lower noise, and longer mileage with the sacrifice of the ability to continue driving when the tyre is punctured.
Honestly, I prefer all the pros of non-MOE tyres over a single advantage of MOE tyres.

For some context, I drive an FWD GLB 200 daily around 80 kilometres on some curvy and hilly country roads. Lots of vibrations road noise and some body rolls. If all the pros above are true, can anyone please confirm?
And lastly, can I switch 2 front tyres first or do I need to switch 4 of them at once?

Cheers.

I think just about everyone goes with an alternate tire after the OEs are shot. Do all 4 -- driving on dissimilar tires can cause handling issues.

Thanks for confirming. So we have to keep one spare tyre at the boot I assume?

Not even car manufacturers care much about how badly mis-matched the spare is. They throw in some little rubber donut and tell you not to drive more than 40 mph and 40 miles on it. Then it's a one and done.

I have the 7 passenger GLB250. There is no place to store even a compact spare, so I stayed with the Continental MOE tires. I am getting 45k-50k miles (72-80,000 km) per set of tires on a combination of US interstate highways and lower quality secondary roads. I do not find wear an issue although some high mileage tires are rated for less wear. The MOE tire is definitely not as comfortable as the MO tire, but keeping them is to me better than no spare at all.

Do not mix non-MOE tires with MOE tires. Handling, and therefore safety, may become an issue. If you rotate tires about every 8000 km, they will all wear out near the same time and you can replace a full set of 4.

As crazy as this sounds, I wish car makers would start selling vehicles without wheels and tires, and let me bring my own. I have 2 sets of OE take-offs (from my G550 and BMW X7) taking up space because the OE setups were incompatible with my driving needs.

Not crazy. Or at least give you that option. That’s the way commercial pickup trucks are sold. Wheels, tires, beds, bumpers, trailer hitches, tow hooks are all delete options. If you want something other than what the dealer sells, have it delivered to them and they put it on.

At nearly 30,000 miles I know I will have to switch my Pirelli Scorpion run flats before winter, as they are getting close to it's end of life. I am thinkin of getting Michelin Crossclimate2.

CC2's are good year round tires. They're what I mounted on my X7.
