Starter battery issue
My phone app told me my starter battery was low. Therefore, my phone app would not work to lock a door or close the sunroof. However, the app could start the car. When I put my charger on the 12v battery, the charger lights said it was low, although measuring over 12volts. I am assuming the battery needs more exercise than I usually GIVE it, drive further than 15 to 30 minutes a day? Car is 2.5 years old.

Vehicle charging systems never top off the battery. I've driven 6 hours, stopped and attached a charger that indicates charging. Can't explain why you can start the car remotely but not lock it other than the smartphone app engineers never test their work.
