CarPlay Phone Placement
Has anyone found a good placement for their phone when plugged into CarPlay? Currently, I either jam the phone upside down into the cupholder or put it in the open space behind the USB port. I don’t really like doing that because it puts stress on the cord. I’d rather have them lay flat or hang. I’ve seen the cupholder mounts but that eliminates a cup holder. Wireless seems like the next thing, but that still leaves the question. Where do I place my phone?
I wish the CarPlay port was inside the center console. Then I could lay it flat and hidden. But I believe that’s only for charging.

I just use a 3 foot usb c cord with 90 degree connectors. I then put my phone in the space behind the usb port.

Not sure about the best but the Ottocast has been fairly reliable for me. Connects within a few seconds and have not faced intermittent disconnections. YMMV.
