I assume you have 19x7.5" wheels based on below link:
https://www.wheel-size.com/size/merc...50-4matic--221

245/50r19 set has
1.37% difference in tire circumference which is under 3% recommended max:
https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...7.5&offset2=53

However 7.5" rim max tire width is 235, so 245 is not recommended. You might need 8" rims for 245 width.

235/55r19 set has 3.17% difference is over 3% recommended max:

Just as an FYI, Continental Tire indicates that the acceptable rim width for 245/50R19 is 7.0” to 8.5.” If Canadian safety regulations say otherwise, obviously that would supersede Continental’s opinion.

that mean that not necessarily to have 8” rim 7.5 will fit , is that for alls brand tires or just Continental brand?

Yes. But I only checked Continental. I think that could apply to other brands, but to be safe, I recommend checking your specific brand and size choice directly with the manufacturer of that tire. @Serhan found different information on a general site. Please don’t leave safety to the opinions on this or any other forum.

I found the old post regarding same topic. Another website from Canada confirms 7.0” to 8.5” for 245/50R19. X3 has 245/50R19 on 19x7.5 wheels also.
https://premiertiresandwheels.ca/pages/tire-size-guide

Another website (link is not valid) says:
- For 50-series tires and above, the rim width is 70% of the tire’s section width, rounded off to the nearest 0.5. =>min 7" for 245/50
- For
45-series tires and below, the rim width is 85% of the tire’s section width, rounded off to the nearest 0.5.

Is a 0.17% difference above max that much to reject the tire size completely? I mean even a 0.6 mm tread wear will get the difference to below 3%. And the ~12mm increase in sidewall height will contribute to improving the ride quality significantly over the OEMs. And maybe this size has better availability/ more choices in OPs location.

I am in a similar boat so looking for some inputs from those in the know. Of course, one also has to consider the issue of voiding the MB warranty on the suspension by using a non standard tire size for the car.
