Questions about 2024 model
Why would my car look for a parking spot when I am stopped at an intersection with cars and semis around me? The dash indicated that there were parking spots to the right of me, but there were none because there were still two traffic lanes to the right. Also, does anyone know what the green symbol, with a half moon on the bottom and a pound sign on top, means? I have searched the manual and Google and have found nothing. Thanks!

I don’t believe it’s found a spot more than you are at a speed where it can successfully search for one. My GLC300 has that little symbol on the dash when I’m in my neighborhood or at a light. Having a 2024 GLB delivered Monday and the same thing….the little P comes on when stopped. Until I push the Parking Assist button, nothing will happen.

It has been years since I have had to parallel park in a tight spot and use automatic Park. I'd like to completely disable the search for a parking spot so that the rear camera does not constantly open and close with the annoying noise as in the thread that I've posted. Is there any way to do that? Disabling Park via the Favorites menu does not stop the camera searching and related noise.

Interesting. When mine finds a spot it has a box graphic on the large screen with arrows and options of how to park be it parallel or perpendicular. I then have to click a couple options and then it does its thing.
