My son and I had just washed & detailed it, on/around April 16. All of the other times that it got washed, was through the automated wash on Edwards AFB, or when it's been in for service at Mercedes-Benz of Valencia.

My new 2020 GLC300 4Matic
Here’s my new baby. My old W204 (2008) had nearly 200k miles and it was time to trade up for a new one, and I went with the GLC300!
Selenite gray with black MB-Tex and grey oak wood interior. Premium package, panoramic roof, heated steering wheel, 12.3” digital instrument cluster, burmester sound, parking assistance package, spare tire, and Mercedes logo puddle light projectors.

I am very jealous of the digital instrument cluster. The one thing I wish I would have had on mine. Selenite is a nice color as well. I wonder how it would look with the sport package. What do you think of the grey oak? It is a bit different and I like it.

The grey wood has a modern feel to it without being too sporty. I came from a car with the brown burlwood (including wood and leather steering wheel), so this just feels more modern. Very pretty in person, I’ll see if I can get a few nice closeup pics.

Over 200k miles, how did you find the maintenance and repair costs and overall reliability of the vehicle?

The overall maintenance costs weren’t too bad... definitely do the serpentine belt and battery proactively. I had other things go wrong throughout the years but they were all the result of my doing, not the car. Had a broken spring (hit a really bad pothole), needed the motor mounts replaced around 120k and other annoyances but generally the car held up well for me. There was only one time it didn’t start and that was the well known ignition key/column failure. Aside from that, she felt very reliable and drove like a little tank. :-)

I really like the Selenite except it looks so different (not always good different lol) depending on the light. It looks pretty good here, awesome in indoor settings like a parking garage, and not as good in direct sunlight for whatever reason.

That looks pretty nice. It did look different in direct light, overhead light and so on. Definitely sharp.
Here it is all cleaned up. Even Mojave looks different. More gold here and more brownish in different light.

Very nice! Here's another pic of mine but indoors. This is when I like the Selenite the most ironically. I'm not sure how you felt about this (I guess your choice speaks for itself) but in my case I really liked the AMG Line package (never knew about it till I saw this and a black one in my local dealer's inventory. The Selenite had more options which I liked). Loved the 20" wheels and all the other AMG details from the pedals to the floor mats to the grille etc.

If they would have had the sport package in Selenite I would have gone that route. The one they had was a normal GLC, which I wasn't a fan of the front and rear bumpers. Then I caught a glimpse of the sport package and knew that was the look I wanted. They had two and both were Mojave. Do you have digital instrument cluster?

That is funny. I'm surprised because (after I got mine for better or worse--guess I wanted to torture myself lol) I started looking online at dealers in MD and VA (I'm in DC) and the few that had the AMG Line sport pkg did not have the nav. I'm thinking what's $1250 when you're looking at a $50000+ vehicle? Is it about the money? Is it about people using Carplay these days? Is it that dealers like to have the GLC's priced in a certain range?...and the price of the AMG Line pkg means they leave off the nav? I had also noticed when I did a wider search that some warm weather states (like FL and CA) leave off the 4MATIC but then put a bunch of other stuff on them to drive up the price again. But even the majority of those that had the AMG Line pkg did not have the nav so I'm surprised you found one that did. The only other one I found that may have had the nav (options weren't clear so I assumed based on the price) was a graphite one (I think that may have been my first color choice too if I had found one locally) in New York that also had the running boards. I really liked the look of that one....

Thank you ParjAS. I liked the lunar blue color as well but fell in love with the AMG package. My local dealer had the selenite grey one and a black one with that package but my one experience with a black car and trying to keep the paint looking nice was a rough one so I didn't want to go down that road again. Plus the black GLC had fewer options. So I went with the grey.

I was looking at selenite grey amg last year or lunar blue. In Portland where it rains a lot, I found lunar blue to look great and went with it. Selenite would have been my second choice, the mojave, then red. I like the amg package for 2020, not so much for 2019, so I didn't bother getting the AMG Package. I'll post pics some time now...

I agree with you. I love the custom look, plus 99% of the GLC's in inventory around the DC area have the 18" wheels...which look too small for the vehicle to me. So the big wheels and the other sporty touches easily won out. I feel fortunate to have gotten it because GLC inventory (even in the last week) seems to have plummeted even more so the pickings are slim. Mine does have the digital instrument cluster. It really has everything I wanted and then some...the puddle lights, the lighted Mercedes emblem, the heated steering wheel, the panoramic sunroof, etc. The only thing it was missing that I really wanted was the factory navigation. It's crazy to me that an almost $54000 vehicle would not come with it standard much less make it an extra cost option. For whatever reason basically none of the ones I found in the area with the AMG Line package had the nav. Seems like a strange omission. Apple Carplay is fine but even my BMW X1 (that I replaced with this GLC) had the factory nav.

Interesting. I never had had grey before or wanted grey (or silver) before but the selenite is kind of interesting. It really looks good on the Mercedes sedans I've seen in that color too. Like you just mentioned about the lunar blue I actually like the selenite grey more when the sky is overcast than when it's sunny. I looked at the lunar blue at the dealership but it was sunny that day and it looked too dark to me. The sunlight almost washed out the blue and made it look black. I previously had a BMW X1 in mediterranean blue which was really a beautiful shade of blue. I think Mercedes also has something called brilliant blue for the GLC but it doesn't seem that easy to find. And yes please post some pics!

My dealership mentioned that most dealers weren't ordering them with the navigation packages since most people wanted to use their CarPlay/Android Auto instead and didn't want to spend the extra money for the navigation package. That being said, I think this car has everything but the navigation software itself which might be available as an add-on service or option later through MBUX store. It would make MB some quick money if they opened it up as a configurable/downloadable option to so many cars out there.

Attached my GLC photo down in the attachments, wouldn't let me directly attach. When new, in Oakland, CA, before my dealer brought it to me. Faithful companion ever since.
