Ordering Sport + Lighting
Anyone having issues with their local dealer ordering these packages? They are telling me its not possible to order the Sport+Lighting package at this time, I was considering asking them what about Night+Lighting package but I would lose the option of the MB-Tex upper dash trim (Included in Sport) unless I also ordered the $2500 Interior Package,
Any idea when these restrictions will be dropped?
I had a mid Jan production spot and was modifying an existing car.
Thanks

Your dealer can check NetStar to see what production decade those are available - they would place new order for new vehicle for that decade - your "existing" order comes in without your name on it - the "new" order is for you.
Again, dealer can check NetStar

The order might get delayed if you have Sport+Lighting packages. When we ordered last month they had limited supply of lighting and wheel packages so the build date was pushed back to Jan. I suspect this is what would happen to your order too. Night package should have the covered dash either way, but who knows.

I know that when you select Sport, it automatically adds the covered dash, doesn't do this with Night, but its says "includes sport package" which implies it will come with the covered dash.
What makes me doubt this is though is that my car comes out a few hundred cheaper with Night+Lighting+XM Radio then it does with Sport+Lighting+MB-Tex Dash+XM Radio.

The MB consumer web site is a OK general guide - but any "build" specs need to be confirmed in NetStar - which dealer will use to give you a full and detailed spec sheet for review/approval.
Don't get thrown off - the mbusa website is a good exploratory tool - but the NetSatr build/spec sheet is the real deal.
Basically - Sport + Night = $1050 more than Sport alone - Night Package adds two things to the NetStar build sheet - 20" black wheels $750 + Night Package trim $300
Please understand - I would suggest you might revisit your "XM" choice - since Sirius offers web app's for your cell - if you have Sirius account on another vehicle then the app service is free - if standalone applies to your cell and any online device as well - Sirius web service about same cost as a vehicle subscription - stream from your cell by Bluetooth or USB cable - which gives you "$460" which might be better spent on your build towards Heated Front Seats or Blind Spot..
