Not sure how much cold temps are affecting mileage, but my best tank was 23.1 so far and that was all freeway driving. My overall is shown in my signature, granted it has been below zero (-14 F) lately and the car has been idling to warm up when the mbrace decides to work.

Below zero C or F. It makes a pretty big difference

Just returned from an approx. 1,000 mile trip. Driving in Comfort mode. Cruise set at 79 mph. RPM 1850. Fuel mileage 27.2. Using 93 octane Top Tier fuel.

Includes myself and wife and her junk-oops, meant stuff.

Am convinced would be very easy to get mileage up to thirty mpg if I could bring myself to drive closer to the posted 70 mph speed limit.

Am I happy with my GLC fuel mileage? You bet. On the identical trip my GMC Envoy logged about 17.5 mpg.

Not surprised. Diesels simply cannot be beat for fuel mileage. Or torque.

If possible to buy a BluTec in the US, I'd have one.

For all of US baffled Yankees, the reason UK mileages seem crazy high is because their units are different. A UK pint of beer is bigger A UK gallon is larger as well.
Here's a converter:
https://www.unitjuggler.com/convert-...pg.html?val=42

US mileage equivalent for 42.7MPG UK = 35MPG US. This seems pretty normal for a 4cyl small SUV. A 3/4 ton F350 gets close 20MPG US and weighs nearly twice as much.

Hi,
Listed results before, but is is best ever !
250d, in Oz. Afternoon run up country at 33c (91.4f). Speed 110kph (68.3mph), country roads, up hill, down dale to coin a phrase. Running two in cab, medium load, auto in comfort mode, AC on and Distronic active, daylight half trip, night other half.
Screen shot, 4.7 l/100km =50mpg (US), or 60mpg (U.K.) or 21.2 Km per Litre.
Reality is Ave for total trip around 300+ km.....
6.3 l/100, 15.9km per litre, 37.5mpg (US) or 45mpg (UK / AUST).
Car has travelled around 22,500km.

During the time I lived in the UK, gas stations converted their pumps from Imperial gallons to liters. Took some getting used to.

Please tell me the local still serves beer by the pint. To do otherwise would be so un-British.

They do Larry, changing to metric in beer would be a step too far.

GLC Fuel Mileage

My 2016 GLC 4MATIC now has 15,300 total miles and I've had it for one year. My overall fuel economy is 28 mpg combined. On a trip I usually get 31-33 mpg. My daily commute is about 70% highway driving. I only use Shell 93 octane premium gasoline. Traffic permitting, I drive 5-10 miles/hour faster than the posted speed limit (Valentine One radar detector). The GLC is my fifteenth Mercedes and may be the best one I've ever owned. It is a great SUV!

That's a great testimony and gives me faith in my first Mercedes arriving March.

Wow that's great. What size tires or wheels do you have? I have 19 inch sports pack/night pack and get around 25 combined. On a trip to Palm Springs this weekend got around 28-29 hwy. Only have 1000 miles on it and use 91 octane in CA.

I chose the 19" wheels for ride quality, quiet tread pattern and longevity. Our customers who chose the 21" wheels notice that the tires become noisy around 10,000 miles and do not ride nearly as well. Most are replacing them at about 15,000 miles. The 20" option is a compromise (style vs longevity and ride quality) and will probably last about 20,000 miles. I anticipate 25,000-30,000 miles with my 19" wheels.

My GLC300 RWD is on the water should take delivery in the next few weeks so my 29 mpg average will go out the door. I will be very interesting to see what this car gets. I ordered 18" tires and I think they will be run flats. Never owned run-flats before. Right now I keep my E250 tires at 35/38. Have read that others on the GLC300 are running 36 lbs. all around. Any thoughts?[/QUOTE]

17 GLC 4matic 19 inch runflat picked up from dealer 36 front 42 back. Made all 4 34 psi runs nice and smooth. Highway get around 28-29 mpg city 21-23 mpg. Run flats so far good first time with them too.
HAD TDI Passat great little car city 40 mpg, highway 50+ mpg. Really miss that little car. Full tank 800-900 miles. To bad there's no diesel GLC in USA.

Thanks for the info. I also heard that the cars get loaded on the boat with 44lbs. all around and one of first things you want to do is check the pressure.
