What mpg are you seeing?
with 9000 miles now on my GLC I’m getting 24.5 MPG overall with 28 MPG on the highway and about 20 MPG in city driving.

E250 4Matic: in the city mileage varies average 33 - 35 miles per gallon. On a recent road trip from Los Angeles to San Jose traveling 80 miles per hour I reached 40 mpg.

Last week my EGR valve was replaced due to the engine light repeatedly coming on and off without any obvious symptoms. This week on another trip to Chicago I got only 24.8 mpg. I’ll see what happens on the return trip to Pittsburgh, but in the meantime, any thoughts?
I think I found the answer to the fuel economy discrepancy described above in a previous post. On my return trip from Chicago to Pittsburgh the GLC's computer seemed to be gradually correcting itself upwardly until it reached a constant average of 29.6 mpg -- a reading consistent with mpg readings on previous long distance trips. Two points come to mind, the MB tech advisor indicated that Mercedes had redesigned the EGR valve that was being installed in my car (presumably requiring a computer reset or software update after installation). Secondly, the computer calculates MPG on a rolling average (i.e. backloads data) to prevent readings of, say, 99 mpg should one reset the computer just before entering a long downhill stretch. Perhaps the combination of a computer reset and subsequent data backload of (?) data caused a weird malfunction. Just a guess.
