Lock/unlock from inside by passenger

Anybody know how the passenger can lock/unlock the central locking system? Usually in all cars these buttons are located somewhere in the central area so they are accessible by driver and passenger

My wife asked me today... When I leave the car and she stays in she likes to lock the doors. But she had to reach all the way to the drivers doors where the buttons are located... Am I missing something? Did not find anything in the user manual

Right inside the cup of the door handle. They are colored like the interior, not silver, so they tend to blend in.

Our Aussie GLC 250d same, no lock buttons on the passenger door. Will check if you push down the small "pencil shaft" on the top of the door curve ( locking pin ?) that might lock whole car ? Just a thought. Yes it's bad there is no dual switch for those in the front.

I find it very annoying that this differs from car to car with no obvious reason, especially since mine does not have the buttons in the passengers door!

does anyone know whether it is possible to retrofit a cup with the buttons, and more importantly, is it pre-wired even if the buttons are not installed?

Thx!

This is interesting... Is it just Left Hand Drive cars that have the central lock/unlock button on the front passenger door?

crazy that on a $50k plus car they dont add on both, perhaps to save money?

all the more reason they should add it to the middle - one set of switches controls everything and they save money

and while they are at it place the fuel tank filler behind the license plate in the center rear like the old days - never have to worry about what side to pull up to...

not a good idea:
this is abandoned long time ago for safety reasons (head - tail collisions happen far more often then collisions with the rear backside of the car) !

My 2016 GLA250 is the same way. I have every option they offer, but yet no passenger side lock button. Makes no sense….. I am also having trouble with the safety feature on remote. I set up to open only drivers side, but the back seat will unlock as well. The other side won’t open. Anyone else have this issue?
