Pricing, what discount you got of your GLC?
#102
Hello everybody. Just purchase new 2016 GLC 300 last night.
MSRP $42,600
Purchase for $34,875
Dealer Discount $7,725, about 19% off MSRP
I also will receive all weather floor mats, all weather cargo mats, and sun shade.
The GLC300 came with wheel locks (140), open pore wood(160), panorama sunroof (1480), and car being grey (720).
How did I do in terms of pricing? First time negotiating with a luxury brand. By the way I'm in So Cal region. I did contact all the dealerships in my area and most of them discount around 2,000. Two dealers came off 4,000 and there were also few that wouldn't come off at all.

someone had mentioned that they were from NCAL and bought it remotely from SCAL? is it possible to do the paperwork remotely, or does one have to go in-person to the SCAL dealership at the time of purchase, if negotiations are done over phone?

Good but not impossible You need to understand that the 2017 models have been out for over 2 months now. No one wants a 2016 anymore since it has heavily depreciated already. Hence, anyone who is willing to drive off in a 2016 would get a good deal.

True. I was thinking about getting new 2015 Audi because they offer 25% off MSRP, but my gf wanted this.

I purchased Audi once where sales guy drove 2 hours to deliver it to my house. The only way to get an answer for sure is to contact the particular dealership. I'm sure they're willing get car to you, but at a price.

Depends on dealerships. I remember I email Infiniti dealership it was either 2014 or 2015 but new and he gave me a 7k discount and try to tell me how great of a deal it was. I told him he will still be trying selling a 3 year old NEW car in 2017.

No need, it just sounds really good.. even if it is "last year's" model. I've always wondered about picking up something like that. Works if one keeps it awhile (I tend to fall in that camp.) But I'm also at a point where I just want certain things and if I can't get most of them, I won't pull the trigger.
Nice deal regardless.

fearyoda: FYI, it's generally considered poor forum etiquette to post the same thing across multiple threads. (Likewise, creating threads on topics that have already have their own thread.)

My sister in law just picked up her GLC300 that I helped order with Jim O at House of Imports. She went by herself and couldn't stop raving about how great and nice Jim was to deal with. Definitely not a case of someone trying to take advantage of a woman. Honest, competitive pricing, and straightforward.
I'd fully recommend Jim. My only caveat is that sometimes you need to wait a day or so for replies by email. I guess he sometimes takes days off. If at all urgent, just leave him a voicemail. Otherwise he will reply by email.
If you can shop in the LA market (my sister drove back to SF), I wouldn't deal with anyone other than Jim!

If you don't mind me asking, how what MSRP and what did you pay? You should have had them deliver it to SF or have dealership match it up in Nor Cal.

10% off on an ordered 2017 that was extremely unique (Grey with Beige and no nav).
She could have gotten 20%+ off on a leftover 2016 (Grey with Black and more options - not with Jim), but the color scheme was a must have. Women - go figure.
For those in NorCal, I say visit a dealership or 2 and get the lay of the land, or do some online research. Then I think you'll likely want to call Jim O!

Anyone ordered a European Delivery? If so, in addition to the 5 or 7% savings on ED and no delivery charge, how much addtl. savings did you get below MSRP? I am considering the GLC 4.3 AMG

I got 7% plus 2% on top for ED on my GLC 300 coupe through Herbert Hummel of Mercendes Benz Escondino. My local NY dealer laughed when I asked him how much off MSRP they will give me
#122
Escondido is close to me, but they didn't come off that much for me. Most dealers laughed at me too saying it's too hot to discount.
