Oh My! 10 year costs - but, I'll take it with a grain of salt

Those are all estimates. There is absolutely, no saying how much things will need to be done and how much they'll cost in 10 years. There could be nothing but routine maintenance, there could be a whole crap pile. All you can do is take the best care of your car that you can. And don't take it to the dealer once the warranty is out!

As the GLC is based on the C class it should be less expensive to maintain than some of the more expensive MB vehicles.
The only common fault they listed for MB vehicles was the crank position/angle sensor which I can agree with as it was the only fault with the wife's former W202 that once left her stranded.

and MB recommends services that others do not. so will the vehicle last longer and offset the maintenance costs. I think many here bought the MB to last longer than other vehicles.

And contrary to what lovers of rebranded, Japanese luxury vehicles believe, they should last a good while. If taken care of. Any car can. But out of all of them, I have to say, BMW is probably the most needy as far as maintenence goes. In the past, usually the whole cooling system is overhauled before or at 100k miles.
