You know, it does not look like it would work with a fully opened pano roof. It says that it is a low profile rack close to the car. Email them and ask. Post their answer.

It's weird. Why would anyone make a rack which prevents the pano from fully functioning? Make the damn thing higher! I don't want "low profile", I want function!

Checking out Rhino Rack

I'm looking into Rhino Rack instead because I want to have the option to have wider bars. I asked the same question about the roof. Their site doesn't list the GLC300 either so I want to confirm. They look like the same footing

https://www.amazon.com/Rhino-Rack-Vo...no+rack+vortex

I did it for the GLE since GLC not listed:
http://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/fit-m...rails-16-to-16

looks like slightly higher

customer service of Thule told me that their engineer doesn't test the roof.....

But I guess the rack recommended is not customized by GLC so the pano roof can't open.

I doubt that the GLE has different rail type from GLC.

Hope you can share your solution after you get the right rack

This was my reply below from our Australian Thule web page.

Thanks for the email.

It will not interfere with the sunroof.

But take care if the load or accessories are below the bars though.

Options are below for you.

Cheers.

Very interesting. Going to check it out.

Just went to their site (USA) and it is not available for the GLC. Hmmm, maybe it can be shipped from Australia to USA....

Thank you!
It's quite useful for GLC owner!
And I found the Thule sold much cheaper in other countries than US

May I ask which solution do you choose?
WingBar or wing bar edge? I do not quite know the differences

Can the panoramic roof be fully open with this thule rack installed?
For those interested in getting a set of roof racks installed. The Thule ones work fine and allow full sunroof opening. Had them installed today.

Foot pack RT753
Bar pack GL9612
Fit kit 4068

I paid $433 fully installed form Roof Carrier Systems in Camberwell. They were real friendly and helpful. Rang them at 9am and they were installed and adjusted by 11am same day The Black versions are $35 more than the standard Alloy finish.
i didn't have time to shop around as I needed to mount a roof pod for Holiday Wednesday. These guys were the only ones that had them in stock. all the other places i rang were order in jobs.

Just found Rola make a roof rack for GLC.
About $70 cheaper in Oz than Thule version.
In black and silver. Evolution sports Bar, 5 year warranty.
Kit numbers are , VFR001 ext rail bar end support, VFR002 rail fit, cross bars VXB (black) or VXS ( silver). Length of cross bar is 1200mm.
Carry weight is 75kg I think. Rola said sun roof should function fully in all modes..
Just missed 20% off sale at Autobarn last weekend. Price would have dropped to Au $298.00
