Sound at 31 mph from the front
Hi all,
Has anyone else experienced the following:
First drive for the day, the GLC300 4matic is reaching 30-31 mph (D4/D5) and "boom" - sudden dull sound from the front – sounds like a spring mechanism has been released. Never again until the car is not parked for a while. Sound is not very loud and is not noticeable on bumpy/noisy roads.
Thanks

Is the sound directly related to a gear change?

I don’t think so. Most often happens in D5 at 31mph. Happens only once, unless the car is parked for extended period of time. It’s not very pronounced, so you kind of need to pay attention to hear it. For some reason I’m thinking about the electric parking brake. I was hoping that someone could duplicated it.
