Car battery location?

Tried search, no luck.
Can one of you owners tell me where the car battery is located?
Engine compartment or, as I heard somewhere, under the rear seat?
The owners manual is unclear, so I thought I'd ask.

It's in the engine bay on the right side beneath the large plastic louvered cover. The battery is mounted against the fire wall.

Thanks Larry. I've only seen a GLC from the outside while I was shopping
for a GLK. They were washing it for a customer to pick-up later that day.
Still can't get over the fact I'm buying a vehicle I've never sat in or drove.

You're not alone. I've bought two cars the same way.

Not to worry. I'm guessing you'll be very pleased, I know I am.
