No spare tyre option, how does it work?

Hey,

I always had a donut spare wheel wheel in my car so when I got puncture I call AA (in UK) they come, change the wheel then I can continue my trip and I'll sort out either tyre replacement or puncture fix in next couple of days.

I was wondering what do you do when you have puncture and no spare tyre in the boot? I assume AA can't fix it on the road.

I'm mostly interested in UK or during a trip in EU?

Based on your post it appears your vehicle is equipped with extended mobility tires.

If you experience a deflating/deflated tire you will see a tpms warning in the instrument cluster.

Stop to ensure there is nothing else going on, other than the deflated tire.

Locate the nearest M-B dealer or tire repair shop. You may drive on for a distance not to exceed 50 miles at a speed not to exceed 50mph.

This is the advantage of extended mobility tires. Your not immobile on some godforsaken road in the middle of nowhere.

Press the button in the ceiling for help, the one with the spanner, and Mercedes will come and help you No need for the AA, it is included with Mercedes. My dealer also asked not to use the goo, as that often mean that if the tyre was repairable it no longer is

Thanks that sounds pretty good actually. Just found this page with more info for anyone interested. Looks like as long as you service your car with Mercedes it's a lifetime service.
Roadside Assistance & Rescue Assist

I guess the only downside is that you might need to buy a tyre from them for most likely premium price

We Aussies do not get installed the help button to summon MB road side assist, we have to call a 1800 number.
Also the QR reader bar code in Oz is wrong, details via the app list only left hand drive vehs with battery and air bags on the wrong side, not safe for emergency workers here.
Do your UK reader codes show right hand version, or the left hand version ?

No idea where the QR code is supposed to be. The dealer linked the vehicle to my email address, I installed the Mercedes Me app and everything in there is correct.

We have three buttons, the spanner for roadside assistance, the info button (which on my model goes directly to an AMG specialist team) and behind a flap the emergency services button which goes to the blue light services control room, and if the vehicle has an airbag deployed also to Mercedes in the background.

QR codes on door pillar and fuel filler door. Use a barcode reader to be directed to the MB web portal.
Oz are not that far in the Teck race ..... lol, we miss out on the 3 overhead buttons, no "Me" features for us convicts !!
