Yes, I'd come to the same conclusion regarding the 360 camera and added that on Thursday. I need to decide on the wheels by Monday so still thinking, but leaning towards the 21s. Can't find anyone saying the ride is an issue, and coming from an M4, unlikely to feel that way for me either!!

Why don't you have a final look over the weekend - and looks is what it boils down to. MB Gatwick has a used on with 20s (and may have a 21 in the showroom). MB Basingstoke even has one with 19s - if I can suggest heresy....

From an M4 it will feel soft

Thanks gobiman. I've actually had the MB Gatwick AMG for a 3 hour test drive and it was fine. What I haven't driven is the 21" version but dejongj's post has given me a lot of comfort on the ride. Think I'll probably stump up the extra £600 and upgrade on Monday!!

Personally I really don't like the look of the 20s (a little after-market imho). The 21s are much better visually and the premium is pretty modest.
Good luck with it!

In South Africa we call them rims. Like we call the trunk the boot.

And rightfully so, in Dutch they are called velgen which are rims in English

As we are all from different parts in the world I think a bit of diversity should be allowed for. Glad nobody mentioned tyres vs tires yet :P

Ok, 21" wheels added to the spec. Right, got to stop adding more cost now.
Although, should I have gone for Obsidian black rather than just plain black......

A difficult one - I went with Obsidian as I like a metallic and basically went into auto thought mode. Don't think there is a right answer to it though.

So threads that may give you food for thought...

I've cost you to much money already so I'm staying quiet now :P I do like my Obsidian Black but haven't actually seen just Black.

Interested to read this post as I have just ordered a 43 for March delivery and have stayed with the 19 inch wheels as I am more concerned with the ride than the looks and being a fisherman some of the tracks I go down leave a lot to be desired.

I thought the 20" wheels were standard on the GLC43 AMG.

20" are standard on US models, pretty sure 19s are standard for UK models.

Yes 19s are definitely standard in the uk. The ride truly is sorted on the 21s, it is really comfortable and smooth. However if you regurarly go off-road I would go for smaller wheels as well.

Thanks for replies, 19 inch are standard in UK, probably because our roads are so bad. Great to hear that the ride is good on your 21 inch wheels, the discovery sports ride on 21 inch wheels wouldn't be good.

I agree, I find that the same with the Range Rover Sport and even worse on an Evoque. Very very different experience on the AMG tuned suspension. In comfort mode it is almost too soft for my liking, which is something mentioned in the video above as well. But truly well sorted in sport+ mode. AMG have done a really good job.

Saying that, if you go regurarly off-road I'd get the 19" purely for the higher side wall and also protection of the rims themselves. We are on some terrible roads which don't bother me, but I wouldn't take it further off road than the dirt track to the horse stable block.
