Ok. Here are MB data, setting and tolerance, only left tyre at this stage.
Total Toe old = +oo.12'. New = same, tolerance -00.10' and +00.10'.
Camber = -00.56' tolerance =00.20-/+. New = -00.25', tol = 00.22'. Big difference ??
Caster has changed from +06.47' to +08.04' tolerance same at +/-00.30'
King pin angle seems to have changed on my GLC from +06.28' to +04.59',,,, not sure how ? So has included angle.
Set back remains same on front.
Rear axle
Total toe data changed from +00.07' to +00.23' again, not sure why.
Small change to camber.
Hope this helps someone.
Would appreciate some comments what all this means....
Thanks

If you can be in your boardies, have your SPF protective gear on, and a Kangaroo Or Surfboard in the background even better
PS. That is not a pisstake, I like a bit of dramatisation and people should understand how ridiculous the situation is. Winter tyres in Australia, in Adelaide. Absolutely hilarious.

I thought that there was meant to be an announcement by MB on this scrubbing issue.. did I miss that or was it a rumour just like the scrubbing is a characteristic?? Or has everyone's car been fixed and no one told me about it??

Nope you didn't miss anything. 14 degrees today and it was like a bloody hopping bunny. So noisy and so bad.
But what is seriously annoying me is Mercedes continued stance that it is a characteristic. I now now several people who are certain their cars don't have it. Whilst I'm extremely pleased for them but then it surely can't be a characteristic.
Why oh oh why are they so bloody pigheaded.
And then there are those owners who are happy with it and accept it as a quirk. Well bloody thanks. Mercedes is using you to deliver an inferior product as an argument that it is ok. What is all that about. Are people's standards slipping that much?
Sorry for the rant but in the mean time I'm loosing a lot of money on this seriously **** car.

Well I Have put it all down on Paper and submitted my upset and disappointment to Mercedes Benz Adelaide.
I've got to admit I cannot fault the guys down there and they seem genuine in their efforts to try and find a solution(only time will tell).
They have sent my comments to MB Australia for reply.
I also gave them various links to Forums covering the issue so they can see that this is only getting bigger and is not going away..... Well I sure as hell won't be.
I will give MB Australia the professional courtesy of reply before I let the wife off the chain, that's when it gets messy.

Yes your right dejongj,
But there are a lot less GLC's on the road in OZ at the moment and really most the owners might not have noticed the issue because of our warmer weather, but autumn is coming.
Lets see then before I too admit that us Ozzy 's are push overs

So yesterday was interesting. First took it in, Mercedes put it on their Hunter device and guess what they didn't have the files for the target data. So rather then me hanging about or coming back again they put me into a loan vehicle; a GLE 350d.
I also had a conversation with the sales director and to me it seems clear that they aren't getting any help from MB UK on this. Anyway we talked about the options, and one of them is Winter Tyres which is the formal response from Mercedes. But you know what parts can't order them, you just cannot buy them. Verbally I've been told the next manufacturing run isn't until June. So what is one to do? Mercedes UK says fit winter tyres, I say ok then, they say sorry we cannot supply them. And they went to their thirdparty supplier who went to their distributor and nobody can get them.
What a farcical situation.
Now interestingly, Mercedes completed the Geometry and found nothing wrong. That is very strange considering one of the highest regarded companies in the UK found the Camber to be out significantly. But I haven't got the Mercedes data yet, so we'll see.
As a one off good will gesture to me, they have agreed to change the front tyres as they are so worn that it just isn't safe to continue driving. But guess what, even those standard summer tyres are on back order. Well this will be fun when I get a flat tyre

Camskill are still advertising the 19 MOE run flat winters in Continental and Pirelli so it appears that this is a MB supply problem not a tyre availability problem. All rather odd.

dejongj,
I feel for you fella, wtf Mercedes, sort your Sh*t out.
So our they saying by giving you new tires that the crabbing is causing the tire wear?

Yesterday I just picked up my 2017 GLC 43 AMG with 21" Continental summer tires and could not replicate any crabbing on full lock, in either direction, no jumping, abnormal behavior or sound. Guess I am a lucky guy or they fixed
the issue here in USA.

Unless and if you purchased a RHD car, you wouldn't have this.. This is a RHD only issue.. We belong to an exclusive club..

Exactly, so how can it be a characteristic of the car, surely MB this is a design fault on RHD cars otherwise the characteristic would be across both LHD & RHD cars alike.

Oh no - they made it very clear it is a one off goodwill gesture and no admission that there is a problem. They called it compensation for not checking out my geometry earlier as I asked them to do. It was discretion from sales not from service.

Finally something from MB on this problem, the following mail was sent by the dealership to a customer who was cancelling his GLC:
24 February 2017
For the attention of Market Area Directors, Sales Directors, After Sales Directors, General Managers, Sales Managers, After Sales Managers, CSU Managers
Dear Colleague
Further to our interim update last week, we are now able to provide a more detailed technical explanation regarding this issue.
Due to the positioning of the front axle differential on right hand drive cars, the steering position differs very slightly compared to left hand drive models. When the steering is on full lock this steering angle difference can result in the front tyre skipping sensation. This is more pronounced during cold weather and when larger wheels and low profile tyres are fitted.
We can assure you that our technical specialists, as well as independent experts such as DEKRA, concur that the cars remain completely safe to drive.
Fitment of All Season tyres counteracts the sensation. We are therefore securing sufficient stocks of these to provide to customers who find this uncomfortable.
· Mercedes-Benz Cars UK will contact GLC customers who have already registered a Compass complaint:
• Customers with 17”, 18”, 19” and 20” tyres will be offered a set of All Season tyres (once available) and fitment free of charge
• For GLC 43 AMG customers who have cars with 21” tyres, a 21” All Season tyre is not currently available. We will offer these customers the option of taking 20” wheels and All Season tyres, or waiting for 21” All Season tyre availability
· We would ask you to please do the same for GLC customer complaints that you have received and managed locally or for any future GLC complaints about this issue until further notice
· Please also take the following action for customers who have ordered their car but have yet to take delivery, and for future customers of existing dealer and pipeline stock until further notice:
• Please make sure they are aware of this characteristic.
• Customers proceeding with delivery have the option to take All Season tyres as soon as they are available or to wait and change to them if/when they experience this sensation in Winter 2017/18.
• For customers who do not wish to take delivery of their GLC with summer tyres, please offer a courtesy car until the All Season tyres are available for their car.
For all the cases above concerning provision and fitment of All Season tyres, please submit a goodwill claim against damage code 2113800.
We will provide updates concerning any interaction we have with your customers, together with availability of the aftermarket All Season tyres and the logistics process involved.
Yours faithfully

Cheers Phil. It is great to see that all the campaigning is starting to pay off and that Mercedes has acknowledged there is a real issue.
Still many questions, but they can wait until next week I'm enjoying the moment for now.

Well at least they have now admitted , all be it in around about way the design from LHD to RHD was a design issue.
Will wait to hear back from MB Adelaide in the next few days before I give them the above email to digest.
Hopefully DejongJ light at the end of the tunnel ......maybe!

So if I don't want 20" tyres on my car, am I entitled to reject it? What proof do Dekra have that it is safe to drive the car..
