Cool GLC Staggered Setup

Hi guys,

I have a 2016 GLC300 4Matic and I'm thinking of replacing my 19" wheels with 20" AMG wheels. I like the staggered setup on the GLC43, which is 8.5" front and 9.5" rear.

Is there anything I must change before installing the wheels (spacers?). basically are there any differences between GLC300 and GLC43 (maybe GLC43 has wider fenders!?). I was told by a friend it's not recommended to have a staggered setup on an AWD cars, but I'm not sure if this is true or is it because the GLC 300 has 45/55 power distribution and the GLC43 has a 35/65 power distribution.

Thanks

Not sure about the GLC but my 2017 C300 with sport package does have a staggered setup (factory!) and it is 4matic too (AWD).

The GLC43 has flared rear wheel arches.
My guess is that this is for style rather than necessity (clearance of wheels).
If you like that look, you can buy them and swap out with the existing ones.

Would you have the part number for the flared rear wheel arches? Or any online sources for me to find part numbera to the GLC? Thanks!

That's where I've seen them advertised ( in Germany). Not as expensive as I thought -

No part no but your dealer should be able to tell you - and see if the price is close to this.

The dealers over at my locale are not very helpful when it comes to aftermarket modification that is not fitted from factory.

It will be utmost useful if I can get a part number to get quotes from 3rd party parts importer.
