Issue With Auto-Sensing Rain Wipers
I've had my GLC for a while now and just had to get my front windshield replaced due to a crack. I'm not sure if this is the same behavior as before, but now I notice that my wipers always activate and wipe once when I first start the car if I have the wiper set to auto (either of the two auto modes). I'm fairly certain I used to leave the setting on auto before the replacement and they wouldn't wipe when I started the car. Can anyone else confirm whether this is normal or something that regressed after the replacement? Thanks!

it should NOT wipe when you start the car with it in the position with the spaced dots, auto position. they used to do that many years ago, but that is no longer a characteristic. unless of course the windshield is wet.

Well... kindof two things..
1) "European" wiper method - rain sensor off (0 not on dots) ... when moisture gets to the point you need a wipe - quick light press on washer button to get one-swipe/no-wash - and while there you then set to 3-dot/4-dot auto sensing
2) In my area - if the MB has been sitting outside and there is a change dust/anything since the car most recently turned off - the wiper will sweep once as sensor resets for current dry/feedback from that glass area..
