We are trying to order a GLC 300 (and save a trip to the dealer)... does anyone have a rear-facing car seat behind the driver (or passenger). Can a 6'1" person still fit in the front seat with the car seat installed? Bonus points of there is a photo showing amount of space left in the front when the rear car seat is installed.

I am also looking for input on a convertible car seat that fits in the GLC 300 in rear facing position, either behind the passenger seat or in the rear middle seat. Our son is going on 2 and we would like to keep him rear facing for as long as possible for safety reasons.


I recently had to return a Diono Radian XRT because it didn't fit in rear facing position behind the passenger seat. The passenger seat was pushed nearly all the way forward, even with the Diono angle adjuster which is supposed to create more room. There was virtually no leg room for the front passenger.


We are considering the Britax Advocate ClickTight Convertible and the Chico Nextfit which appear to take up less room than the Radian XRT in rear facing position. If you have a convertible car seat in rear facing position that allows adequate leg room for the front passenger, or that can be safely installed in the middle rear seat, what model car seat do you have? Pictures would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am 5.5, my wife 5.4, and we have 1 car seat rear facing and 1 carrier rear facing ( britax ) at the same time,and we drive comfortable, it's not great has the Ford Explorer but it's good.

Masaniello, have you tried putting either the car seat or carrier in the middle seat? Do you know what model Britix you have?

FYI. I purchased the Graco Extend2fit. It works well in rear facing position behind the front passenger seat and leaves plenty of room up front.
