(NBC NEWSCHANNEL) Daimler AG is recalling about 1 million newer model Mercedes-Benz vehicles worldwide after receiving 51 reports of fires.
The recall covers certain C-class, E-class and CLA cars, as well as GLA and GLC SUVs from model years 2015 through 2017.
Nearly 308,000 of the recalled vehicles are in the U.S..
The German automaker says a starter part can overheat and cause fires.
Owners will be notified this month and again in July when replacement parts become available.

I just got too excited (not in a good way) after reading the news that I didn't even think of checking the earlier post. Glad to hear it's not a major issue, but still very disappointed to get a recall on my new car! Sorry for double posting.
