Big news (at least I think it's big). Apologies for all who already know about this.
My dealer had told me that as a 43 owner (I bought a GLC43) I did not qualify for the AMG Driving Academy, it's for 63 /55 owners only. The Driving Academy is a 1 day track day driving AMGs around Laguna Seca and other circuits; but I contacted AMG's Driving Academy and they corrected him pointing out that policy has changed.
All 43 owners including GLC43 and C43 owners now qualify to attend the AMG Driving Academy. This was changed this year (2017). I don't know if the threshold is the model year (2017) or purchases on or after Jan 1st 2017.
"The 43’s were NOT eligible until 2017, so all of last year the word was no. We’ve been trying to communicate the change, but it has been long and challenging to redirect the info. We do not include the 450 models."
If you don't know what the AMG Driving Academy is watch this, prepared to be blown away. Note this is a report from the 2 day course, as a purchaser of a new 43 or above you get the 1 day basic course for free which is normally $1,895 or $1,895 toward the intermediate or advanced course.
This is not your Groupon do a lap in a super car experience and tell your friends; no, this is the real deal - AMG Driving Academy is a full on day training to do racing at a proper racing track driving an amazing line up of AMG cars:

(I suspect I just made some people's day as many aren't aware of this perk; many dealers are also still learning of this policy change. I know it made my day / week / year!)

Picked up my GLC 43 AMG 2 weeks ago, even before I received an invite, went to the AMG Driving Academy online and signed up, booked at Lagune Seca for the end of this month. Am really stoked and after the 1 day initial course, I plan to register for the drifting school.

Dang it, why couldn't they have one at Road America, would be a lot more convenient for me...
