Question GLC 300 Configuration -need input

Hi,

I am struggling to find the right GLC 300 options - most of the cars here in Boston come with certain options - I am trying to avoid ordering a car to get the best deal possible:

Here are the options I consider a must:
Heated Seats
Heated Steering wheel
LED Headlights
P2 Package
Sunroof

The problem is that I found a car that has the above options but it also has the Advanced Parking Assist and the illuminated Star ($500 option-not worth it to me).

For the addition $2,000 (Parking Assist + Star) US I would rather upgrade to the p3 and drop the illuminated star and Parking Assist.

Question is this- perhaps the parking assist is worth it - can anyone comment who may have this- also does anyone have the p3 package? It certainly seems like a ton of good safety features - perhaps overkill as it starts to incorporate autonomous driving features that I am not sure I need.

I am trying to balance $$$ versus value of the packages. It seems to me that the p2 package (plus sunroof, heated seats and steering wheel) with Led Headlights is a good balance of value. Car would list at about $50k with this configuration - any input would be valued!

P3 was worth it for us. Intelligent LED headlights are like magic.

Really wanted the 360 camera for visibility when parking. The auto parking is a gimmick but came as part of a package with the 360 camera (as I recall), so had to get it.

I second what George in KG says (jimbobboy in DC, not so far away). I'd go for P3 for the safety assists, which are not at all hands off but which can reduce the stress of interstate traffic.

Self-parking is a feature that just doesn't park quick enough on busy streets, yes the 360 camera is nice to have for sure but I skipped this option. I have another vehicle with the same feature and have used it only a few times, not worth it.

P3, however, has excellent LED lights and the distronic features are wonderful. GO for the P3.

I ordered my car because I couldn't find the build I was looking for. They were all P1 or P2 and any of the P3's ( very few around) had option of no interest to me. I got a price with about a 5% discount. My sales took a refundable $1000 deposit. But never put it through. (2nd car I bought from him). In any case the car is not sold until it reaches the dealer. That in mind and after searching the various web sites my GLC ave price dropped. Ended up with a 10% discount. Delivery took about 3mts.
So I got the following
P3 - like it very much. Navigation maps for reading local roads stink. highway are ok. Voice direction work better than my old car, I'm left handed so the touchpad is turned off, Distronic is cool either in stop and go or on the open road, head light work well, Overall I'm glad I got the P3
Heads up -really like this feature - just realized today it will add school zone as you pass the speed sign.
Burmester sound - nice
Advance parking - cameras are great, iffy for stall parking pretty good for parallel
18" wheels - they work just fine
Heated seats - nice even it hot Florida
Did not get
Heated wheel no need
Sunroof - had in just about every car and hardly ever used. My interior is light and it bright enough

Thanks to all for your input:

Here is what I am looking to go with:
p3
Heat Seats and Steering
Sunroof (probably wont use it but feel it is required for resale!)
Burmester Sound

I am glad to hear that people feel the p3 is worth it - that was my gut reaction - I think the adaptive LED Lights and Distronic Cruise are alone worth this upgrade!

Only had the car a short while but my initial impression is that Distronic is well worth the upgrade to P3.

As far as the Park Assist Package goes, just beware that if you don't get it, you don't get front or rear parking sensors at all. Just the rear view camera.

Good luck!
