GLC Lead Time UK

Will vary, if the dealer has a car planned for build and can change build to your needs relatively quickly. I did this and my car was at dealers 8 weeks after I ordered it.
Different dealers will have different lead times.

I haven't had an update from my dealer. Is there a way to check the build online?
Thanks

No way to check online. Your dealer can look it up.
I placed my order at end of Jan with build in 3rd decade in March. Just called my dealer - got a build date of March 27th.

As a rough rule of thumb even after the car is manufactured it can take between 10 days to 2 weeks to get to you in the UK. Most MB factories in Germany ship their cars to the UK via Zeebrugge and Killingholme.
I had my last update from the dealer at the beginning of the March but I'm not going to ask for another update until early April. I'm working in Sweden and Finland next week and Poland the week after so even if the car was ready early I'm not going to be able to collect it.

I had a call from my dealer on 30th March to tell me my car had arrived from the factory. In order to save myself a wodge of cash - because of the motor vehicle excise duty changes on 1st April - could I come and pick it up on the 31st?
Only problem was that when he called me I was in Stockholm and not due back in the UK until 1st April. Nevertheless managed to get all the tax and insurance sorted and the dealer delivered it to my house the following day. Finally managed to drive the thing a couple of days later.
So my from order to delivery the actual timescale was just under 11 weeks.

Phil - I think it was made a lot easier by the fact that I'd part-exchanged my old car with the dealer back in January. So they'd already had my car and there was simply the matter of some additional monies to be paid over.
