Looks like it's a chip that plugs into the original ECU. I didn't see the GLC43 listed on there, so I emailed them, and will post a response when I hear back. Here is the website: http://www.performmaster.com/power-enhancement/

Here is an email I received from them when I inquired about their product:
We can upgrade your GLC 43 AMG from
Standard 367 hp / 520 Nm / 250 kph
Tuned 425 hp / 610 Nm / 280 kph
The great thing is that we have a Vmax delimiter and the power enhancement in only one module which is just connected directly with OEM Bosch connectors to your ECU. So it is just a “plug & play” system. And that is more than a huge advantage compared to any other system.
Please also have a look here: http://www.performmaster.com/installation/
Due to the close integration in your vehicles CAN-Bus system, the PEC Tuning-Module unit has a live feed to your cars built-in sensors and adjust the power accordingly to the current conditions. This is sensor controlled engine management, that only we offer for Mercedes-AMG.
Because all functions in the PEC Tuning-Module software are physically based, all performance-relevant measurements and input parameters are collected & analysed, fine tuned/adjusted and translated into “performmaster Power” commands within the PEC Tuning-Module which controls all physical adaptations, like:
- revolution speed (rpm)
- air mass to fuel mixture
- monitores coolant- and intake temperatures
- engine & exhaust temperatures
- inlet manifold temperature
- vehicle speed
- rail pressure
- boost pressure
- ignition timing
- maximum speed
- climate conditions
- altitude
- petrol quality etc.
and reacts accordingly.
This means it is the best tuning solution for your car, because you will only get the power from the Module when the engine is warm enough, oil pressure is ok and so on. So if you are starting your car in the morning and it is cold, there is no “more power” until you will have the right working conditions.
You can even install factory updates which are done at a service into your engine control unit and still keep the power enhancement and Vmax delimiter.
We are the only worldwide for AMG that can offer this tuning solution with CAN-Bus, power and Vmax delimiter in one module and OEM Bosch connectors.
So at a glance for you:
PEC Tuning-Module with power enhancement, Vmax delimiter Regular selling price is 2268€ excl. VAT + shipping and customs.
I can give you a very special price for your own use on that including the 2 years warranty on the PEC Tuning Module as well of course.
The price is 1765€ excl. VAT + shipping and customs.
If you have any further questions, just contact me.
You can be sure, that you will have the biggest fun ever with your GLC 43 AMG.
Kind regards,
Udo

I would take what they say with a pinch of salt
DTE Systems from Germany do this one;
https://www.chiptuning.com/uk/merced...ercontrol.html
It is like 25% of the price, properly TuV tested and approved.
I've been using DTE Systems in my GLS, also in my 3.7 second VW Golf R, my Nissan diesel pickup truck etc....Now I do have to declare that the chap running the UK, and a couple of other regions has become a very good friend of mine. But I have no commercial interests.
I've tried many other plug in system, and whilst there are other decent companies now, I've found DTE Systems extremely reliable in the 100,000'ish miles I've experienced them. Insurance goes up by about £11 in the UK.

Any thoughts to why the GLC43 doesn't come with the same output as the E43 (other than status)? If it's just MB trying to halo its E-class 43 then some tuning seems like a great way to burn ~$900.

These are very market specific too. The best kit you guys can get over in the UK and Europe is very different than the best kit we have access to in the US. Over here it looks like BMS makes the best piggyback for the M276 engine. Borla18 over in the C450/C43 forums has published a lot of great data on this one.
