Hello. I have a GLC 350e SUV and the sound here is so boring in my eyes.

anyone have the 300 with the sport exhaust option?
ive heard that this is the exhaust making the sound, but alot of people is also saying it is speakers who sre making the sound. Audi and BMW has these kind of speakers on several diesel engines..

my 350e has the same engine as the 300, but also have a 116hp electric engine. But the 300 sport exhaust should be a bolt on subject.

Not seen the sport exhaust here in the USA. Is it an option in the EU?

Yes, but we dont have the 300, we have the 250. And the sport exhaust is only avaliable on the Coupe..

I've been interested in working on the sound for my GLC. I recognize that with a 4-cylinder, there's no way I'm going to get even close to the gurgling of a larger engine, so I'm hesitant to do much more than just learn to love the sport+ sound. I've been told it's primarily just piped through the speakers, and I don't have the adjustable sport exhaust, so I'm pretty sure what I'm hearing is fabricated.

300 coupe comes standard with the exhaust in the US

2018 GLC will have the sport exhaust optional (according to the DOG)

It was an option on the 2017 coupe as well, part of the sport package.

thx for good answers! On the norwegian MB site it doesnt say much what the sport exhaust is at all. Even when I asked the guys there they dont know ****... But according to what shadowdust was showing, it could only be a small part of the exhaust which where the flap is, and the some software modification.. that would be an easy and cheap fix for me..

If any of you are near a MB shop in near future, please dont hasitate to ask if it is a big diffrent between a 250 and a 300 (with sport exhaust) exhaust systems.. and let me know

All I know is that the sport exhaust has part number U21 or something...

(i have sendt emails to severeal dealerships around the world, but no one wants to answer me... )

you're right. I got the sport package, and totally forgot that the exhaust is a part of it

I was strongly considering getting the sport package, but decided to go with a car that we could pick up sooner. Finding a coupe in inventory with both the sport package and the P3 package seemed to be nearly impossible. And getting the parking assist as well was not happening.

I decided I could do the upgrades of the sport package on my own by changing out the grill (on order), changing out the wheels (still deciding), and making small visual adjustments. However, the biggest question mark I had and still have was how to upgrade the exhaust sound. There are aftermarket exhaust systems that have that variable flap, but I just don't know how much I'm willing to pay for slightly better sound, compared to just putting that money aside for a new much better sounding vehicle in a few years .

The challenge on the exhaust is probably more on integrating it into the dynamic select system. No idea if that's easy or worth the effort, compared to just swapping for a different exhaust all together.

It should be easy, as it is almost only the software which have to be configured, including that the part has been changed..

Just got in touch with a German tuning company called ASG. I pretty sure im going for the exhaust system they can provide, the sound is awesome!
