All weather floor mats - to use or not to use
Hi there,
im getting my new GLC delivered in a month and I was wondering if people use floor mats. I find them very ugly and take away the original look of the vehicle but I'm not sure how difficult is to clean the original floor.
I haven't made a decision yet but I might have to go for a OEM all weather floor mat. How does the car look with the mats?
Discuss.
cheers,
Leo

Mats
My last vehicle I left then on all the time. Doesn't look great agreed but after a while uli didn't notice it anymore
On the glc I'm thinking using all weather mats winter only- with snow and such I think the regular mats would get beat up quick and then look awful
Currently debating weather tech vs MB mats. I didn't negotiate free mats when I bought the car. Pretty dumb of me.

I got in touch with my dealer and they say It will come with normal velour mats as standard. If I want something different, They suggest looking on the Mercedes part and accessories site and purchasing when I collect the car.
Is the velour mats any good?

I have the MB all weather mats and they look fine. Wasn't too happy with the quality of the AMG ones that came with the car.

The logo is attached with some adhesive. It came off clean with no adhesive left on the liner itself.

My old W204 has the original AMG-velour mats in it. Since it was new in 2009. I've used it summer and winter, skiing, hiking, doing all kinds of activities. High pressure-washed them twice since I bought it. Never had odour problems.

I prefer to keep the looks. And if in the event that they wear out... They are pretty cheap to buy at the dealer. Over a year with no wear.

The dealer threw in black all season mats (made by the great Weather-tech co.) but my interior is beige so I'll probably just order beige ones later one. I have them in my GLK and they fit perfectly. snug and never move around unlike some cheaper ones that can literally cause an accident. It's a good investment purchase to protect the carpet forever.

I'm also looking for the Mercedes brand weather-tech floor mats. I saw a set at the dealership but it's not by weather-tech but the ones on mbusa site. Does anyone know the part# for the weather-tech brand one?

I have the weather-tech front and back and they are great. The huge shiny red WT logo is ugly so the MB branded version is much better. BTW I have a set of OEM carpet mats for sale. I removed them after 250 miles of use.
