I put my hand into the driver's side door pocket, and noticed what felt like jagged plastic on the inside lip. I took a picture of it, and sure enough that's exactly what it is. I went over to the front passenger door pocket, and it was the same there as well. Also the rest of the interior panel seems unfinished. The rear pockets were fine. This is my first Mercedes (BMW's before this), and was expecting at the very least the same quality standard. I wouldn't expect this on a vehicle half its price these days. Is this normal?

Now checked mine and they are like that too. The inner side rear door pockets are normal as they are fully plastic but not sure if the front are like this because they are wrapped in the artico leather/ MB tex.
I have an appointment to take it in next Thursday for a squeaky accelerator pedal, and I let them know that I was going to point this out to them. I just picked the car up 2 months ago and only has 1500 miles.

Mine do not feel jagged when I put my hand in them. I will look and see how they are lined.

To answer your question: Yes, it's normal. It's the inside of a storage pocket in a place not visible unless one inserts a mirror. With all due respect this is not a quality control slip-up.
