If yo check the brochure (at least in U.K.) it would have a note about fuel consumption which reads all figures are based on standard equipment and smallest tiry size

I just collected my GLC at the weekend, been a long wait due to availability of the Night Package option. I went for the option 20" alloys offered as an option on the night package.

Not sure what you mean really, actually in UK it's a diesel car and both 220d and 250d has one of the best fuel economies 56.5mpg across the whole class
