Question P55 Night package discolored

I have a 2016 CLC300 Black with the night package, no chrome. The black strips that replace the chrome seem to discolor from water spots.Does anyone else have this problem? What can be done other than wiping it down every time it gets wet?
Cheers
Fritz

I would recommend..

So you know - residue from a car wash will kill ya - or water spots from lawn sprinklers...

Get it clean - then use a sealant... such as:

I have the same problem

Was thinking of addressing this to a paint correction person at some point in the future

I used alcohol pad, it did the job.

There are several products that can remove water spots - best done while they are fresh - incl 50/50 white vinegar and water

The OP's question I thought was "how to prevent this from happening" - and using a sealant will help..
