TPMS module and sensor

If I want to add a TPMS module and sensor to my GLC. Will the car recognize it as soon as I connect it? What's the part number for the module/sensors? Where the module is located?

Perhaps you are asking questions best answered by you spending some time with the parts department of your local MB dealer.

Why?, Is there something wrong with the TPMS module fitted to your car by the factory?

The reason why I want this is because I want to be able to see the actual pressure of each tire without checking them manually. Someone on the forum said, in an other thread, that system that sense the difference of tire pressure is not perfect and won't detect a slow leak right away.

What country do you live in. The country you live in will determine type of TPMS system your car is equipped with. In the USA, Mercedes are equipped with TPMS sensors for each tire and allow for individual reads. In other countries such as Canada, TPMS is based off the ABS system and does not give individual reads.

i have a vehicle with the ABS system and there is nothing worse than seeing low tire and having to figure out which one. thankfully we have the actual pressures displayed here in the US

In Canada, I believe that the GLC300 only has a "tire pressure loss warning system" which gives you a warning light in the instrument panel. The GLC43 has a "tire pressure monitoring system" which shows the pressure of each tire in the multifunction display. It is a great feature which I also had in my E63 wagon. I am not sure if you can retrofit your GLC300 to show the actual pressure (if it did not come equipped with that feature). As George in KG said perhaps a visit to an MB parts department might be in order. Or as an MB service advisor.

You can check this one for reference:

After installation, need to use the OBD activator to do the coding.
