Using Waze in GLC
I am having a problem using WAZE navigation from my phone in my GLC. When I plug the phone into the USB in the console, WAZE works but the sound is cut out. How can I get the sound on when charging the phone? Does it work if I switch the sound system to media? Does anyone have experience with this?

When I use waze from my phone the sound comes through the speakers in the car. It does the same when I use the phone.

On both of our '14's (ML+GL) Waze is tricky. My iPhone imm'y hooks up to Bluetooth. Since Waze is a battery hog, I plug the phone into the USB. I booot up Waze on the phone. Most of the time after that, the volume on the phone resets to zero! I have to manually raise the volume to a desired level. Once that's done, I get Waze audio through the phone, and phone calls through Comand and the car's audio system.

Just a side note.. I managed to activate my 2017 glc android auto with an obd tool I got on ebay
😁😁😁 happy chap today
Cost me £140 odd well worth the money. Waze and the music app much better than original merc software

I will give it a try again and see if I can raise the volume to make it work. Do I raise the car volume or the phone volume to hear the sound?

I'm tempted to try, but will probably wait to see if some positive feedback comes about, especially for my brand new vehicle.
