I guess it comes down to personal taste and preferences.
Yeah, you can go aftermarket, but how intently are you a listener? I have a very expensive THX certified sound
system in our TV room(I hate the term "media room") for music and movies. I don't fire that system up for satellite tv,
the shows weren't mixed for that.
In my car, half the time I'm listening to news, the other half music. So, I'm not that concerned about "awesome" sound,
just quality reproduction. The GLC Burmester does just that.
If I was stuck in traffic for a few hours a day, maybe. But again, what are you interested in: quality or awesome.
When I compare music from my reference quality sound system and then the same music in the GLC, I'm pleased.
Come on guys, this is an upgrade that does very well for the price.

Jack ... I completely agree with you comments. I find the Burmester system in my GLC43 much better than the standard HK system in my previous E63s wagon (the Burmester upgrade in the E63 was $5,000 which was too much for me). I listen to a new station for part of my commute and Spotify for the remainder and the supplied Burmester definitely meets my needs.
