Sure - if you press "Navi" button - and in a few seconds message comes up "No Nav card installed - that verifiys you have Garmin pre-wiring.
eBay - based on year/model GLC - check for Garmin Map Pilot SD card - you are looking for Version 8.x and not earlier Version 5.x/etc - one vendor it like "dominorose" or with yellow background eBay photos - have bought maybe 12-15 from him over past 5-6 months - $175-$190 based again on model/yr - which is about 1/2 dealer cost - but heck - the SD cards are righteous/work-well.
After your SD Nav has been matched to your GLC - with a Amazon $15 SD card reader/writer to your PC - "update check" is available online - best to do late at night - any available online update takes a long/long time to download/update the SD card...

carfnutt - please understand that the seller I reference on eBay is based on my personal experience has proven to be 100% reliable - seller feedback on the Amazon is 30%-50% either dead/no-nav or later locks dead.... I'll take 100% "trouble free over 30%-50% dead anytime,,

You can always use Waze. I have Nav in my GLC but used Waze in rental car for a month this past summer. It worked great. Used on my Android and my daughters iPhone. Have used it a little bit in the States. I use Mercedes Me to send driving instructions to the GLC but have used Waze with their built in mic to give it directions too. The other nice thing about Waze or Google maps they are always up to date.

Australia does not have Mercedes Me....... pity, it seems to have a number of good options.

If you do not have an SD card slot in the centre console near the USB sockets, then your vehicle is not equipped with Garmin pre-wiring. In that case you should be able to approach your dealer to fit it for you. In my case the pre-wiring was fitted after the vehicle was delivered to me. The dealer charged me roughly the equivailent of US$1200 for the pre-wiring and the actual navigation software.

Sorry if I have missed this clarification in a post but when the new purchase sticker says "Pre-Wiring for GARMIN SD-Card Navigation", does this mean that the SD card did not come with the vehicle? I purchased a new 2017 GLC 300 and simply want to clarify if the card was suppose to come with the vehicle or not. The SD slot is empty and I do not find that I ever had one that came with the new vehicle. And under optional equipment the Garmin is listed as "03A Garmin MAP PILOT" for $625.00.

The SD card did not come with the vehicle.
It was not supposed to come with the vehicle.
This option is listed because you can buy it from the dealer for $625, but why do that when you could get it from a number of reputable Ebay sellers for around $125.

QUESTION: has anyone with the Garman SD card had the update flashed to their card yet? If so, what have you noticed to be the difference(s)? It is supposed to have a map update and some graphic diffrences.
One thing I find irritating is the need to zoom in to how close you want the map to display each time you start up, or you go,tomthe nav. screen. It does not remember where you’ve previously had it.
