Interesting media issue
I play my music via 32gb SD card or a 32gb USB stick on random mix mode and have about 3600 songs. Whenever I remote start my car the music restarts from song 1. If I was say, at song 155 out of 3600 and then remote start the car, it would start over at song 1 and even play in the same order as before! and not even random a different order. Weird. Thoughts?

Hmm sounds like it is doing an initial read of the cards contents when you start.
Only remote start, what happens when you get in the car and start??
What brand of SD card??
How did you format the card? What Format ?? FAT32??
Is all the music files in a Folder labelled 'MUSIC'??
Turn Random play off ...play some songs, then turn Random play back on. Any difference ??

I've noticed when playing Spotify on shuffle over bluetooth from my iPhone, it usually starts the playlist over after finishing the current song everytime I leave and start the car again.
So if the playlist is songs 1, 3, 5, 7, 2, 4; if I get out the car in the middle of song 5, when I get back in, it will automatically pickup in the middle of song 5, and then when it finishes, it will start over at 1, 3, skip 5, and then go to 7, 2, 4. It's moderately annoying on a daily basis, but gets to be real annoying when I'm running a bunch of short errands after commuting home, and have to skip through 10 songs each time I get back into the car to finish an album.
I don't think it always did this, but it has been going on for a few months now at least.

Citizen613 - Yes, only on remote start. When I unlock and start with push button it Always picks up from where I was.
It started happening with my 32gb mini USB Stick(San Disc cruzer fit) so I added all my music to a 32gb SD card(San Disc Ultra 10 )to see if it was a USB problem but it happens to both. Don't think it's a brand issue though.
Card is Fat 32
The music is not in a folder on either device. I just copied a pasted all songs right onto both totally empty devices. That could be something to play with. Maybe I'll create a music folder and add all to songs to it and try it again.
I've tried turning random on and off and it always starts over except when it's not on random it always starts with the first song alphabetically as opposed to the same first song when it was last on random. So it always wants to start over either way. Ideas?

I sure it's in the manual ..somewhere ..or I read here in a post .....but the Memory card source needs to have a directory structure. I had issues with a 128GB card until I set up the menu structure...
Just grabbed mine out of the vehicle....folders are:
Music
PersonalPOI
Pictures
Routes
Video
Don't know if this helps or not ...hope so!

Thanks! That is probably it. No folders, just the songs. I will make a music folder in both devices and see if it works. Will try it tomorrow as we are having a massive wind/rain/snow storm here now with 50+ mph winds.

Seems like it is a memory issue once I load onto the HDD it remembers where it left off but seems to only supply power to the SD/USB readers only after engine start. When I just shut car off and not open the door and go to accessory it remembers. Any thoughts
