Can I negotiate a maintenance package as part of a final car price?
Looking for ways to get the price down when I go in to negotiate for a special order GLC 350e plug in. Can I ask the dealer to throw in a maintenance package? Or an extended warranty?

Many of us have commented on this before in other threads. Try a quick search on "pre-paid maintenance" for other insights.
in a nutshell: you can buy the warranty and pre-paid maintenance from a dealer other than the one which you're purchasing your vehicle from -- it all gets added into a national database, so it doesn't matter which dealership sells it (within the same country, let's presume). Verify, but I think it has to be done either within 45 days or within XXX miles.
That's what I did -- I bought a warranty from a different dealer - MB-Austin (Ask for Brett)- 7 year / 75,000 miles for $1700. I think that's a great investment if you plan to keep it over the 4 year standard warranty. Brett can also sell you the pre-paid maintenance and tire protection (I also got this as I picked the 19" AMG RF wheels -- pot holes, tire popping, etc). For 4 year Pre-paid Maint. I paid $1275 - about the lowest I've seen on this forum +/- $50.
When you're signing the paper work, as if you can do this -- curious to hear their "finance salesman" answer. Despite what they say, you can for sure. There is also a Kentucky MB guy/dealer who also offers great deals -- you can search for his contact # as well.

I believe you can buy the extended warranty at any time before your existing warranty expires. They may not offer as good a deal vs buying it immediately; it's all negotiable.
I don't think the prepaid maintenance has a time limit either, several posters have talked about skipping A and buying prepaid for B/A/B.

Look... I understand we have very helpful forum members.... let me layout two things:
1. On any Hybrid - ALWAYS lease - not purchase... so all this chit/chat regarding where/who to purchase this and that maintenance/warranty does not apply
2. Has anyone who has posted here so far own a GLE Hybrid ?

Batteries degrade and replacements are expensive. Yes I agree, always lease hybrids as long as lease rates remain reasonable. In fact I think we are heading towards a subscription based car buying experience. Volvo is already rolling that out with XC40.
If I get a 350e I would lease and drive a lot of local short trips on battery mode. If I commute a long way I would hold off on current hybrids.
