Question on Advanced Lighting Package
I just noticed that the Advanced Parking package also includes Active LED Headlamps and Adaptive Highbeam Assist.
Does this mean that I essentially have everything in the "Advanced Lighting Package" except for the Multicolor LED ambient lighting and the illuminated door sills? Or does the Advanced Lighting Package offer anything else different? Otherwise, it seems like there would be a lot of unnecessary and expensive overlap in Advanced Lighting and Advanced Parking packages...
Thanks!

so ithe 360 camera package seems a good deal sicne for $1300 you get the 360 camera and active headlamps.
very odd looks like that is a change from what was available prior
but in the 360 no mention of LED tail lamps - so if you get the 360 and nothing else do you get LED headlamps and then the other tail lamps? that would be odd
I agree that I think this is a change from when I placed the order. However, my car is being built next week so I hope I get this...
Advanced LED headlights swivels and auto adjusts high.beams. note that US regulation restricts the full functionality of anti dazzle. It uses four smaller LED projectors for low and high beams. One thing to keep in mind, if it breaks outside warranty it will cost your left kidney. This package also gets you the tricolored mood lighting inside.
Both have the signature gullwing DRL. If you don't park inside garage the housing will eventually crack from the inside and replacement will be costly.

By the way -- the reason I want the Advanced Parking Package is not because I can't parallel park. That is for me the least important by far of the parking package options. I park in a lot of tight spaces, including parking garages. I like the parktronic sensors (which probably should be standard) and the 3-D surround view cameras (great for avoiding curbs while getting as close as possible) and the hands-free hatch opening. These are all things that I got used to in my BMW and didn't want to give up.

unless the advanced parking assist requires LED lights for $850 which means you are really paying only $850 for the active lights if you get the parking package - still a bargain compared to prior

The on-line configurator makes no sense. When I placed the order, the Advanced Parking did not include active LEDs or high beam assist. So I bought the $850 stand alone non-active LEDs. Now is makes it seem like the active LEDs are included and the $850 was unnecessary.
However, my gut tells me that can't be true. Who would ever order the Advanced Lighting Package for $1,900 instead of just ordering the parking package (if you really wanted it or not) and getting them included. The only think you get for an additional $1,900 is interior LED lighting and illuminated door sills.
I'm also wonder how this affects my car, which was ordered under the old scheme, but will be built this week.
Why? Mercedes? Why?
Wow, yeah -- a pretty big one. Apparently I am the first person in the U.S.A. to notice this?

On the other hand, I now know that my car is built. I have a VIN number. Supposed to be on a ship tomorrow.

I don't think people gave much thought because the website is just advertising. The website builder is just a way to get you to contact a dealership.
For my actual order, I used the DOG provided by the dealer and also worked with sales in person as he created my order in their system.
