Backup Camera
Question for everyone. Recently I noticed that I can hear our backup camera opening up when we are driving and the car goes <10 mph. Previously, since we owned it, it would only open when you hit the 360 camera button under 10 and then would display images.
As stated above, now it opens and closes during regular driving (although the screen doesn't turn on
). Took it in for service a today and told them about this... They said it's normal?!
I don't agree. What's your camera do?
I just feel like the camera mechanism is going to wear out if it's constantly opening and closing all the time.
This is a 2018 glc 4matic with 360 camera.

Camera door on our car opens only when in reverse or 360 cameras button is pressed and car forward speed < 10ish mph.
Your our dealer is full of crap. Ask them to demo that door behavior on another vehicle.
