Does the GLC300 Key FOB recharges itself when plugged into the ignition, or it doesn't recharge at all and we have to replace the battery periodically? Thanks.

Nope, battery is not rechargeable, just requires regular replacement. Dealer will do it for you anytime you're in there if you ask usually.

Replacement batts are cheap and can be found at any electronics store, drugstore, and of course, Amazon. Takes about 30 seconds to change one. Google it.
