Wiper hitting A pillar
My 2017 drivers side wiper, the very top of it, will hit the A pillar on occasion. Showed video of it to dealer, they replaced the wiper blades stating that the factory blades seemed a tad loose.
Anyone else have this issue?
My GLC300 had issue day-1 when we brought it home. Had gotten the seat cooling option, but the drivers side fan cage was broken. Dealer had the car for 2+ weeks stating they were trying to get the part from Germany, which never came, then they said they ordered a whole new seat.
Not sure I am a huge fan of GLC300, but I can say for sure, having the airbag suspension feels much different than without, AND, the seat cooling really does work. My Lexus has no seat cooling and I sweat like crazy when it's hot outside, not so with seat cooling in my GLC300.

My E300 is "juddering" after receiving the free wipers from the MB USA campaign. This appears to happen at the lowest speed and goes away for a few seconds when you use the washer fluid. It was literally bouncing all over the windshield. Dealer has asked to return it so they investigate with a new set of blades. Will keep you posted.

I had a similar problem until the wiper blades had been used for a while. The problem was lessened over time as the blades got broken in. It eventually went away.

For the folks who have judder, try cleaning the glass really good with Invisible Glass, then polish (buff on/off with a clean lint free cloth) the glass with RainX (not the RainX wiper additive).
I still need to test the new blades MB put on. I suspect the same issue will occur.

Now that my windscreen has been polished and cleaned a couple of times, the wipers are smooth in operation. The only drawback now is that under heavy rain shower conditions the wipers cant keep up, even on the highest speed setting. The good thing about the RainX is that is repelled most of the water so the wipers didnt have to work so hard in removing it from the windscreen.. Its been a bit of a catch 22, ive got smooth operation of the wipers, but the inability to remove excessive amounts of water quickly. Quite dangerous when on the highway / freeway / motorways.

although wipers should be "broken in" after a year & ½.
I've replaced the windshield trice, due to chips/cracks.

How did you go with the RainX? Do you have wiper judder with the RainX?

the water additive is ok, but not quite the same effect as the rub on/off procedure.

I took mine in for other issues (back shocks kept knocking, ended up replacing both rear shocks @ 1 year old [???]) and asked them to also look at the wipers. Naturally, he said they couldn't reproduce it.
Two days later, I slow-motion recorded this. It's very clear when slowed down something it's quite right. Further, my loan car (GLE), had super smooth wipers, no shuddering, like butter!
I really don't think it's the wiper or the windshield, it looks like it's more the articulating mechanism.

nice video, seem like mine are the same way - not evenly moving at all. i always assumed it was the wiper but you might be right it maybe the mechanism that makes the wipers awful

2018 GLC 43 & 2014 SLK 350, gone 2016 E63 Wagon
I do not have this problem with my 2018 GLC43. I do use RainX which may have an impact (have used it on all my recent vehicles). After one year I am due for wiper blade replacement.

Having 2011 E350 sedan as well and it had terrible wiper issue on very 1st day...
Dealer said because they were too brand new and it will go away as I used....no no no...
I replaced blades with other brands several times but no luck.
I gave up.. it seems like no issue to my wife so she is driving that vehicle now. L
My GLC300 got no issue with wiper blades so far. (cross fingers)
