should i remove the screw in my run flat tyre

My tyre is flat due to a screw in my tyre. Should i remove the screw in my run flat tyre before trying to inflate the tyre. I have a Mercedes b 180 CDI

No. Air will escape faster if screw is removed.

Get it taken care of ASAP and don't let anyone give you BS about runflats being non-repairable - as long as the tire wasn't driven on flat (damaging the sidewall) and the screw was in the tread portion (which it most always will be), they can be plugged like a regular go flat tire!

my tire dealer removed a nail from the run flat and plugged it.
when i asked whey they weren't patching it from the inside, he said the plug was 'galvanized'.
in any case it's been about 8k miles and no problems.

Galvanized? He may have that confused with vulcanized or something else, but I think industry standard when repairing a tubeless tire is "plug and patch".
