Apple Car Play work OK in GLC 300?
I am seriously considering a new GLC 300 as my Audi Q5 lease is coming up. A friend has a GLA 250 and the Apple Car Play doesn't work that well - keeps disconnecting. Does Apple Car Play work well in the GLC 300? Can you use Waze with it?

CarPlay works very well in a GLC -
There have been "early" GLA's with CarPlay that have had issues - those tricky GLA's have had USB-Lightning cable issues (some cables work - some cables do not work - and some cables are "iffy") and problems with the USB connector box used in the GLA center consolde (and GLC uses a different connector box).
A few GLC's have had CarPlay issues after major Apple updates - and for those select GLC's there is a dealer software update that will take care of that problem.

It works fine in our 2018 GLC.
One interesting thing is now that Apple has finally opened up CarPlay to non-Apple apps (Google maps and Waze), if you utilize Siri to navigate to a destination, it will pull up Apple Maps regardless of what else you have installed or currently running. I discovered this when I changed my destination, so I had audio instructions directing me to 2 different locations (One for Google Maps, one for Apple Maps). Fix is to stop one navigation first.
