Memory Card Music Folders?

Loaded a memory card with Music folders, no root directory, and when I load it it does not show me any kind of list. It starts playing a song and I can scroll through all songs but no folders or even list. Is there a way to organize the songs into folders and have the command show you a list of folders or songs?
Thanks!

Search the W205 C-class forum. You might turn up something there. Or else do an all forum wide search.
Folks have had a similar problem to this before...

GLC 250 Petrol with COMAND system

SD memory card: Sandisk 200GB
Your card should have the Root Folders: Music, PersonalPOI, Pictures, Routes, Video

My music folder has a folder for each artist: either 'Band name' or 'Surname, Firstname'
Sub folders for each album.
However if your MP3 tags are all in place the Music sub-folder structure is not important.

The music search screen in the COMAND system will offer the MP3 tags searches first, i.e. by track name, artist, album and so on, but if you scroll down the search options, towards the bottom will allow you to search by folder.
If you have a large collection you will find it much more convenient to search via the MP3 tags ...however this requires you to put in the effort and manage your tags fro accuracy and consistency ….the old adage applies GIGO (garbage in - garbage out)
...though having said that ….on odd occasions I have searched via folder ...usually because I forgot the track name ..doh! ..or the tag was wrong ..doh!

For those of you that use Apple and want to copy your local MP3 music to an SD card with the same folder structure I found this: https://ostechnix.com/copy-specific-...ture-in-linux/

I used Method 2 (rsync with prune) and copied my entire iTunes media music folder to an SD card for use in my car. Works great.
