Windscreen replaced

Hi
I've recently got my front windscreen replaced due to stone chip. However, the new windscreen have black wire inside it, according to the dealer it is an antenna. do anyone have this black wire inside their windscreen?stone chip. According to the dealer they said that all the new windscreen replacement have this black wire inside them.

I found it annoying sometime because its on the right side and my car is RHD.

I had my windscreen replaced about a year ago and don't have that thankfully.
If that is an antenna then it's a bloody ridiculous place to put it!!

Does it have the 'signature ' on it?

Hi PH1L,

just for comparison, my Australian GLC 250, (RHD of course). December 2016 build.
My original windscreen, as delivered, has these wires on both sides, near the A pillars.
I have noticed them before, while washing the vehicle. Can't remember if I have noticed them from within the vehicle, if so, it was a rare lighting condition.

Yes it have the signature on it.

I've contacted the dealer and asked them to provide me the part# 2536703300. I've googled the part number and found that there is no mentioned of tv tuner

Is there a way to see the part# on the windscreen?
